The swine flu conspiracy.

The message is clear – we are all going to die from swine flu. It spreads fast, it is dangerous, and it must be feared – says the World Health Organization.

But worry not – there is a way to save yourself. Just get a flu shot – and purchase a remedy for the deadly virus. Those are the instructions from the WHO.

However, the WHO may find itself coughing up explanations, as more and more scientists and health researchers, and even journalists, are starting to question the organization’s motives behind raising the alert so quickly. Read more »

What a great way to start all this EU business! They put these two nobodies up there without asking anybody. Without leaving a way to remove them? Way to go! So this is the new taste of European Democracy? I agree with Nigel Farage: this is an outrage.

EU President wants to finance the Europe with CO2 taxes.

No doubt as we contemplate the figure who has rocketed from obscurity to became "the President of Europe", we have all made silly little jokes about "Mr Rumpy".

After the eight tortuous years it has taken to get the "Constitution for Europe" into place, with all the talk of how vital it was for the EU to have a figurehead to represent Europe on the world stage as the equivalent of the President of the United States, some may now think of the poet Horace's famous line, parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus ("the mountains are in labour, and will give birth to a ridiculous mouse"). Was the Iranian Election ‘Rigged’?

The conventional wisdom in the US corporate media, that the Iranian election was fraudulent, may in fact be incorrect and simple a propaganda ploy by US interests.

Robert Parry reports on a new poll that was taken at the end of September showing that about 81 percent of Iranians had confidence with the election outcome and felt that Ahmadinejad was in fact the legitimate president. Read more »

The big lie of Capitalism is that everyone can be rich. This is simply not so. Capitalism only works if there is a wealth differential imposed on society. Only a small number of people can be allowed to be rich; everyone else must be kept poor. If everyone were rich, who would take out the trash, repair the sewers, fix the roads and bridges, or any of the thousand other tasteless jobs our society requires? Read more »
